Privacy Policy

How GymFit handles your data and your privacy.

Effective: 3 November 2026App version: 1.3.9
This page describes the current GymFit build. It must be updated if cloud services, advertising or analytics are added.

Who operates GymFit?

GymFit (Android package com.dreamsapp.gymfit) is published by DreamsApp. For privacy questions, please contact hassanhale5@gmail.com. This policy describes the current GymFit Android application, version 1.3.9.

Information you enter

The app can store your name or nickname, fitness preferences and goals, gender-based athlete-photo preference, language, exercise plans, workout history, sets, repetitions, weights, meal and water records, body weight and body measurements. These records are stored locally on your device in the app database or preferences.

Progress photos and personal images

You may select progress photos or a custom background using the Android system document picker. GymFit stores references to the selected files and uses the Android access you grant to display them. The app does not request unrestricted access to your photo library. Removing or moving the original file can stop it from displaying.

Step counter and permissions

If your device supports it and you grant Android activity-recognition permission, GymFit reads the device step-counter sensor to show your daily step count. You can deny or revoke this permission in Android Settings. If you allow notification permission, GymFit can show workout reminders generated locally on the device.

How the data is used

We use the information on your device to display workouts, nutrition and progress charts, calculate progress statistics, personalise workout content, remember your settings and schedule the reminders you enable. The included offline coach uses rule-based guidance; there is no activated cloud AI coach, online account system or automatic cloud fitness-data synchronisation in this version.

Internet use and third parties

GymFit uses Google Play Billing to retrieve product prices, start purchases and check subscription or lifetime-purchase ownership. Google processes payments under its own privacy policy; GymFit does not receive your card details. Optional exercise video links may open YouTube or another external service, which applies its own privacy practices. This version does not include an advertising SDK or a third-party analytics SDK. If future versions add cloud services or advertising, we will update the privacy policy and the app disclosures before using them.

Website hosting and support enquiries

The privacy-policy website may be delivered through a hosting provider such as Cloudflare. That provider may process technical request data (for example IP addresses and browser information) to deliver the pages and protect the service. If you email the developer, your email address and message will be used to respond to your enquiry.

Data storage, security and sharing

Fitness logs and preferences are held in private app storage on your device, rather than being automatically transmitted to a GymFit developer server. Device security and Android app isolation help protect locally stored records, but no storage system is risk-free. The JSON export feature creates a readable, unencrypted backup that you choose where to save; protect it carefully. We do not sell your fitness records or automatically share them with advertisers.

Data export, deletion and retention

You can export or restore a JSON backup through Settings → Backup & restore. The export contains selected fitness records and preferences, but excludes the original progress-photo files and Google Play purchases. Use Settings → Data & privacy → Delete my data to erase local app records and settings. This does not delete original photos stored elsewhere on your device, external backups you created or transaction records held by Google. Local data remains until you erase it, remove app data or uninstall the app.

Children and health advice

GymFit is intended as a general fitness and wellness tool, not a medical device or substitute for qualified medical advice. It does not knowingly collect children’s information through an online account service. Parents or guardians should supervise use where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy if app features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Material privacy changes will be disclosed as required by applicable law.
